A ring built from parts, the way the configurators build one: the band, the head, the claws, the stone.

AMG Dynamics builds technology for jewellers: 3D ring configurators with millions of possible combinations, its own WebGL jewellery engine, tools that turn production CAD files into web ready models, and the catalogue, order and workflow systems jewellers and their retailers run on. The jewellers include A.Jaffe in New York, founded in 1892, Trauringspezialisten in Germany and Aluxe in Asia.

I've worked with AMG since its first project. While I was its technology partner, my studio, Horizon Beam, delivered the work. What AMG showed at GJEPC in Mumbai in January 2026, the configurators included, was my build.

From the CAD file to the shopwhat I wrote for AMG

I wrote Jewelitt, AMG's own WebGL jewellery viewer, and the wedding band builder on it that generates every band from parameters. I also wrote JewelPrep, a Rhino plugin that turns a manufacturer's production file into a render ready model, and I'm building the platform A.Jaffe is moving onto as it leaves Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Since 11 October 2026, Jewelitt runs the 3D configurator in Trauringspezialisten's live shop.

This ring isn't a client's design. The site's own code builds it the way I build jewellery for the web: a band profile swept around the finger, a four claw head, and a round brilliant cut facet by facet. Change the size, the band or the stone and every dimension on the drawing follows. The real thing is live: a wedding band builder I built for AMG Dynamics that generates every band from parameters in the browser, with no stored band models. (opens in a new tab)
