# Colophon

This site runs on Next.js, React, React Three Fiber and three.js, all open source under the MIT License.

## The build

One 3D world stays on screen while you move between pages, and the camera flies to where each page lives.

With reduced motion, without WebGL, or in the Flat view, every page is plain HTML with the same words.

Every page has a markdown twin: add .md to its address (home's is /index.md), or switch the view to Machine to read it in place.

Public client sites are shown as screenshots I took myself and keep on this site; private dashboards and admin screens aren't shown. The drawings on case study pages are made for this site from what I built.

## Type

Next.js downloads the typefaces below when the site is built, so your browser loads them from this site, not from Google.

- Anton: display, SIL Open Font License
- Archivo: text, SIL Open Font License
- JetBrains Mono: labels and data, SIL Open Font License

## Figures and pictures

The figures in the writing, from ages to load times, come from one file that records where each one came from. A figure I haven't cleared doesn't render.
